We appoint California-licensed agents and brokers to write the multi-peril programs and bond types we agree on, and give them the tools to do it without waiting on us.

The appointment

What you get, and what we ask.

Binding authority

Programs and class groups for multi-peril, bond types and penal-sum limits for surety, each with a per-policy limit and an aggregate. Anything outside your authority still comes to underwriting as a submission.

Commission

Fixed at appointment, changed only by the administrator who appointed you, and paid on premium collected, never on premium written. Direct bill or agency bill, your choice.

Yes. Authority is set separately for each product, and one sign-in opens both.

Risks within your authority bind instantly. Referrals go to an underwriter with the reasons attached and are usually decided the same business day.

Renewals are queued ninety days out. Cancellation and nonrenewal notices follow the California Insurance Code, and every notice is on the file.
