Educational content; no advice
The guides, cost ranges and FAQs on the Site are general educational information. They are not legal, financial, tax or insurance advice, and they do not describe the terms of any particular bond or policy. Bond requirements are set by the obligee and applicable law and change over time; always confirm them with the agency, court or party requiring your bond.
No offer or binding quote
Nothing on the Site is an offer to issue a bond or policy. Any quote is preliminary, non-binding and subject to underwriting, documentation and payment. A bond exists only when it has been executed and delivered by Sunset. Sunset National Insurance Company’s Certificate of Authority is pending with the California Department of Insurance, and no bonds or policies are being offered, solicited or issued until it is granted. Bonds are available only in California.
Your submissions
You agree that information you submit is accurate and that you are authorized to provide it. Do not submit sensitive identifiers such as Social Security numbers through the Site. Use of submitted information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
The Site, its text, design and graphics are owned by Sunset or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and print pages for your personal or internal business use, but may not copy, republish or create derivative works without our written permission. “Sunset Surety Bonds” and “Sunset National Insurance Company” are names of Sunset National Insurance Company.

The Site may link to or load resources from third parties. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sunset will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Site. Nothing in these Terms limits any obligation Sunset has under an executed bond or policy or under the California Insurance Code.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute relating to the Site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
Changes
We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
